Jesus’ last words to his followers were a call to take the life they had discovered in him and share it with the world around them. He said, “You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” This was not just a call to tell the truth about Jesus, but to live the kind of life that draws people to him. The Apostle Peter put it this way, “Be careful to live properly among your unbelieving neighbors. Then even if they accuse you of doing wrong, they will see your honorable behavior, and they will give honor to God.”
As a community, Bethany desires to be filled with people who are living such lives. We want to impact our city, region and world with the transforming reality of the Gospel lived out in our lives. We provide our people with opportunities to do this as they serve both inside and outside the church. We also partner with organizations seeking to demonstrate love in tangible ways to those in need, and work to equip our community to share their stories of how the grace of God has changed their lives.
