2024 Student Ministry Summer Nights

Students entering grades 6—12 are invited to a summer of fun! Join the Student Ministry Staff on Wednesday nights for games nights, movie nights, BBQs and bonfires and baseball games! Then top it all off with a week away at summer camp!

Parents, be assured that your students will be cared for and encouraged this summer! This guide shares all you’ll need to know about each summer event, times, drop-off locations, and more. 	June 19 \| Kick-off Cookout \| 6:30 - 8:30 PM Students will meet on the blacktop at Bethany church for a BBQ, a water balloon fight, and a kickball game. There is no cost or sign-ups associated with this event. Ensure your child wears something they don't mind getting wet and no white T-shirts. We will serve hotdogs, watermelon, chips, and drinks. *Pick up & drop off in the back parking lot.*
	June 26 \| Bolsa Chica Beach Bonfire \| 5:00 - 9:00 PM Each Summer, we have had a blast taking our Summer Program to the Beach. We will have a bonfire at Bolsa Chica. We will do our best to let you know what pit we have by sharing what towers we are next to. This event is free, and no sign-ups are needed. We will be providing dinner with pizza and drinks. We will also have S'mores around the fire. While we are there, students can go in the water and play games on the sand. Dinner and organized group games will begin at 6 PM. Students can bring: towel, appropriate bathing suits, sunscreen, beach chair, sweatshirt or jacket. *Pick up & drop off at the roundabout off of Warner & PCH.*
	July 3 \| Movie Night \| 7:30 - 10:00 PM We'll host a fun movie in Bethany's courtyard with an outdoor projector for an awesome movie experience. This event is free, and no sign-ups are needed. We will provide popcorn and drinks. Students can bring: camping/folding chair, a blanket or dress warmly for a cool summer night, your favorite personal snacks. *Pick up & drop off in the back parking lot.*
	July 10 \| Angels Baseball Game \| 6:00 - 10:00 PM The Angels are facing off against the Mariners. This event is limited to 28 students, so if your child is interested in going to the game, you need to sign them up ASAP. The cost is $30 per student. Students can bring a small bag with sealed bottle of water and snacks. Angels Stadium is a cashless stadium. *Pick up & drop off at in front of Bethany’s pillars.* *RSVP NOW*
	July 17 \| Worship Night \| 7:00 - 8:30 PM Students are invited to a night of Praise and Worship led by the band. There will also be a short devotional message as well as time to pray with each other and for camp. *Pick up & drop off in the back parking lot.*
	July 24 \| Broom Ball \| 7:00 - 8:30 PM Students meet in the Gym for a night of broomball, snacks, and drinks. We'll have a blast competing to see who has the best team of broom ballers. Broom ball is like hockey, lacrosse, and chores all rolled into one. *Pick up & drop off in the back parking lot.*
	July 31 \| Bolsa Chica Beach Bonfire \| 5:00 - 9:00 PM Our summer nights events will end with one last trip to the beach. We will have a bonfire at Bolsa Chica. 	August 5 - 9 \| Summer Camp at Thousand Pines We’re excited to take our students and counselors up to Thousand Pines this summer! Up in the beautiful Angeles National Forest, Thousand Pines Christian Camps is a four day, high-energy, life-changing week you don’t want to miss. Through worship, recreational games, outdoor activities, a key speaker and more, your student will experience the gospel come to life like never before. We believe the community fostered at summer camp is unlike any other setting and is truly tailored for our students here at Bethany Church. Spaces are limited to 40 campers. Registration is available through July 1 or when spaces fill up. The total cost per student is $550. 	August 14 \| Parent info night \| 7:00 - 8:30 PM At the end of the summer, students & parents are invited to experience what happens in Student Ministries. We'll play a game, worship together, and share updates for what’s to come in Student Ministry.
